I’m grateful to report that my bills SB1164 (15-week abortion ban) and SB1165 (Save Women’s Sports) have been signed into law by the Governor!  Current abortion law is demonstrably unpopular – and puts us in the company of China and North Korea. Only 13% support elective abortions in the last three months of pregnancy and a Marist poll found three-quarters of Americans want abortion greatly limited or entirely illegal. Still, we can expect lawsuits from the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and others over our state protecting unborn human life.  And needless to say, the left lost their minds over our state affirming gender differences. This attitude is coming straight from the top with the White House celebrating transgenderism – listen to Ben Shapiro’s podcast on the topic.

There was a third victory this week protecting vulnerable children. Senator Petersen’s bill, SB1138 was signed into law. It prohibits irreversible gender “reassignment” surgery for minors, protecting children from life-altering decisions they aren’t equipped for.

Thank you to each one who signed in on RTS and called or emailed Representatives or the Governor.  Your voices made the differences and made clear to decision makers that these bills represent Constitutional principles and Arizona values.

Not to be overlooked is the fact that Governor Ducey ended the emergency this week. It is long overdue and legislators are working to end FUTURE unrestrained emergency powers. SB1009 reins in Executive authority significantly going forward and is progressing through the legislature.

Finally – I’m on the ballot!  Friday I submitted 1139 signatures to qualify for the 2022 ballot! Thank you for helping me gather paper petitions and for signing online. I could not have done it without you. First hurdle overcome, on to the next.

I have so much to be thankful for!  Under the new boundaries, District 4 constituents are in good hands. Congratulations to the leadership team Republican Precinct Committeemen elected for the new LD4! It was an honor to swear them in this past week. I am going to miss working with everyone in LD15, but it is inspiring to see this group of patriots taking the lead to bring our district into the next decade. Thank you and congratulations, Chairman Dan Farley, 1st VC Shirley Hawley, 2nd VC Michelle Fallen, Secretary Ramona Kelley, and Treasurer Lauri Grovich!

I am hearing good reports from other quarters as well! If you wonder what district YOU might be in since redistricting, send me an e-mail and we’ll try to get you connected to your new district so you can meet all the candidates as the elections near.

Quote Worth Re-Quoting
“The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.” – Mother Teresa
